Apology

I'm sorry for the way I cut you down
I'm sorry for when I look at you and frown
I'm sorry for the times I look away
I'm sorry for the good I fail to say
Sorry for not dropping you (any) sort of line
Sorry for ignoring you all this time
I'm sorry for the coldness in my voice
Sorry I disrespect you- I know that's my choice
I'm so sorry for not smiling at you
I'm sorry for not saying 'hi' too
I'm sorry for being so mad
I know if you didn't have to hurt me you wouldn't have
Sorry for the hardness in my heart
Sorry I'm too proud to make a new start
Sorry I'm so scared to let you inside this self
I don't have any excuses to justify myself

This was kind of just a spontaeneous outpour of stuff.
It rhymes (which I normally hate!) and it's got a wierd qualification tacked on the end to make sure no one thinks I'm just speaking words and not acting- all in all not the makings of a great poem, but you're right, it's mainly just cathartic in that I'm apologising to specific people. It's actually kinda structured in that each stanza is directed to a different person. First is a co-worker, then a friend, then a guy I used to like, then my mum, and finally God. So I guess representing different people from all areas of my life- maybe saying that I've failed in all areas in some way? But it's not meant to be depressing or anything- just a catalyst for change.
