Thought I would just introduce myself a little. I mainly write poetry and short stories. Most focus on topics such as depression, death and suicide as well as related areas.
I have chosen this topic as I feel it would be of interest and perhaps comfort to many people. Through personal research I have found that according to the Australian Government statistics everyone in Australia, at some time in their life, will be affected by depression, either directly or by someone else’s. These results are comparable to findings in the UK and USA*.
My point is if you can relate to any of these issues, you are not alone. There are people who feel the same as you and are going through the same or similar things. I am not a doctor or a psychologist or hold any qualification. Furthermore I am not posting on this post to give advice or to give answers. The only thing I can say is if you, or someone you know is in trouble there is help out there. There is always someone to help and someone who will listen.
I know this from experience, so please if you need help seek it. I am not here to do this. I'm just here to share feelings and emotions through writing and perhaps you can relate. If you can't maybe this may help you understand.
