In those eyes
August 22nd 2007 08:57
See in those eyes
The sadness soaked to the bone
Seeping through those the eyes
Those windows to the soul
If only I had that courage
To draw those blinds aside
Reveal the dried up tears
I drown in those eyes
In to the very depths of their halted darkness
Relating to their tall dark mysteries
Their fear in this diluted perspective
This view of the world which swallows us whole
Losing all our sense
I am lost in those eyes
Searching for the scent
Smelling no sprit feeling nothing but old
Peering at this image
Forever young in violent death
A longing for that peace
I stare in these eyes
Obsessing over their honesty
Something in the way
As I look to them for aid
But those are merely mirrors
Just an image of those eyes
Paper tracing them
Capturing their pain for eternity
I look at those eyes with only love
Oh the romance of the end
How I envy his courage
The sadness soaked to the bone
Seeping through those the eyes
Those windows to the soul
If only I had that courage
To draw those blinds aside
Reveal the dried up tears
I drown in those eyes
In to the very depths of their halted darkness
Relating to their tall dark mysteries
Their fear in this diluted perspective
This view of the world which swallows us whole
Losing all our sense
I am lost in those eyes
Searching for the scent
Smelling no sprit feeling nothing but old
Peering at this image
Forever young in violent death
A longing for that peace
I stare in these eyes
Obsessing over their honesty
Something in the way
As I look to them for aid
But those are merely mirrors
Just an image of those eyes
Paper tracing them
Capturing their pain for eternity
I look at those eyes with only love
Oh the romance of the end
How I envy his courage
