Still Night Rambling

Tap dripping annoyance
Another night’s miserable insomnia
The blood flowing through my veins
Like so much water
This stagnant life

Fan’s solitary stirring
Another still illusion
The thoughts racing fast
Like so much electricity
This haywire mind

Movement in the din
Another sobering drunkard lumbers
The disturbance stilting the rhythm
Like a mirage
This inspiration slowly, slowly evaporate
